Product Description
Make delicious homemade pasta anytime with this stainless steel pasta maker from Prime Pacific. The adjustable steel rollers, with seven thickness settings, knead pasta dough into smooth four-inch wide sheets of dough, perfect for making ravioli or cutting into lasagna noodles. Or slide on the stainless steel cutting attachment to make spaghetti or fettuccine noodles. Includes a removable handle, a sturdy clamp, and a recipe booklet.

Amazon.com Review
Clamp this pasta machine to your counter or table edge, choose a setting, and you're ready to turn out fresh homemade pasta, literally. This is a pasta maker you crank by hand as you feed in your dough. Made of gleaming stainless steel, the machine's adjustable rollers press your dough into long, four-inch wide sheets in a choice of seven thicknesses. You can then cut the sheets into squares for making ravioli, or longer sections for lasagna. By sliding on the stainless-steel cutting attachment, you can extrude thin spaghetti or medium-width fettuccine noodles. And, for artists, the pasta machine works well as an extruder for polymer clay. After use, wipe the machine clean or run a damp paper towel or piece of felt through it. Remove the handle and clamp for compact storage. You'll never want to resort to buying dried, store-bought pasta again. A recipe booklet is included to get you started. --Ann Bieri

1 out of 5 stars I returned it...   November 21, 2007

I ended up returning this item as the roller mechanism stopped working properly. It wouldn't "hold" a roller setting and I was getting pasta sheets that were thick-thin-thick-thin-thick-thin with each crank of the handle.

I upgraded to the "Al Dente" machine by VillaWare (about $10 more expensive) and have been happy with it.

4 out of 5 stars Works well for light-duty use.   January 29, 2008

This machine works well for someone making an occasional batch of fresh pasta (like me). Those who are complaining about stuck dough - your dough is too wet. Knead more flour into the dough. When the dough is no longer sticky-to-the-touch, roll it through the machine. It will work like a charm.

While this machine does it's job well-enough, you may want to upgrade to a more expensive model if you make your own pasta often.

By the way, never wash this, or any pasta machine, with water. Don't worry - the bits of old pasta will flake right off when they dry up. And don't worry about germs - you will be cooking the pasta in boiling water!

I haven't had this machine long enough to tell you if it will go the distance, but it seems reasonably well-made for the price. Not super-sturdy, but good-enough for occasional use.

I found this produced excellent results. The main drawback to this item is
the pedestal heighth being too short to allow the hand crank to turn freely when sitting on a flat surface.

5 out of 5 stars It's simple and works!   August 18, 2007

1 out of 5 stars Don't buy cheap machine like this   January 4, 2008

I returned this machine because the roller stopped working (stuck or slip) on high (thick) settings (5-7) after several uses. The rollers are also not parrellel so that it produces uneven thickness and feeding speed for the sheet with low (thin) settings (1-3).
